At her birthday, Cienega Soon opened a very impressive gallery on Hyacinth Island. With a great variety of SL-art.

Lots of people showed up, and listened to a live piano concerto.

Cienega was dressed in some fantastic haute couture as if she had justwalked out of the painting in the back of the room.

Breaking Art News!
September  13 to 16: the Gogbot Festival. And I have been invited to participate with my art! WOOOOT!

This art, media & technology festival takes place in  the east of The Netherlands in Enschede. And also in Second Enschede, as well as some other Second Life locations.

During Gogbot I will be exhibiting some unpublished erotic SL paintings in an important SL gallery: The Code Red Lounge. This artplace is owned by the SL-famous artist/programmer CodeBastard -’50000-Flickrviews’- Redgrave! 

Big projection screens at the festival inside the large old church in the very center of Enschede will be showing much different SL art. Including my works at the Code Red Gallery. Outside on the virtual church in Second Enschede, you can find my billboard wich gives out a LandMark to TelePort to the Code Red Gallery

Everybody who knows me, or reads this is, is invited a the exhibition vernissage party!!! On the roof of the Code Red Gallery in SL: friday starting at SL time 5 pm PDT (wich is 02:00 Central C.E.T.). Please don’t be shy to IM me for a TP! Or go directly to: Strata 30,30,121

This is such a laugh: Cienega Soon has created a new SL photo group: SL-Caption Comments.

It is based on a brilliant idea: Writing (new) texts to go with SL snapshots posted by other SL residents / Flickr members in SL-Caption Comments.

At about the same time, yesterday I discovered fd’s Flickr Toys. One of their ‘toys’ is a Captioner tool. It is very easy now, to add comic book style captions to photos! I just love to create cartoons with this!

Anyway, now I am so damn busy with all my web activities caused by SL, I hardly have time to go inworld SL! LOL

Today is the Gay Pride Canal Parade in my FL hometown Amsterdam.  I will be one of the thousands of spectators partying on the shore. Because I won’t be on one of the boats, here is an old snapshot of me pretending to be a boat. ;-P

In the period since I was born in SL (half a year now), I have met many people ofcourse, and among them a couple of very special unique caracters. Even considering all the new people I met in real life all together since january 2007, I made some very special friends through SL. With some of them I also have contact outside of SL, but with some only ‘inworld’.

I haven’t been in SL for a couple of days. When I am not inside SL, I get IM’s forwarded to my email. So yesterday I found this most dramatic IM in my mailbox:

[13:51] Bettina Wunderlich: 2e? you are here? [13:59] Bettina Wunderlich: you are not…  Well, I want to say good bye. I leave SL now or tomorrow. (I must only fix a few things between the new owner of my house and the simowner). You was a really good friend and I wasnt nice… well, I was a asshole. The time with you was… special! Really!!! You are absolute crazy and absolute adoring. I was the last time 1 month and then 1 week in hospital and my old cancer is back, so I went at wednsday back in hospital and… well, I dont come back home Thanks for your friendship and your nice ass Dont be sad, its enough I am sad. Dont forget me so fast. Kisses, bettina

Damn what a heavvy message to read on a relaxed sunday! It makes, me smile, laugh, cry and silent simultaniously…

You readers might think: Why the hell is 2E Leven publishing this very private message from Bettina on the web? Well I have been thinking nonstop since I got this message about the following: how can I reply to Bettina? I dont have any phone number or email adres… I dont even know her FL family name orso… How can I tell her this is one of the most scary messages I got over the internet in ages? (Also another good friend in SL told me recently she has cancer…) How can I let her know that the same time, this is one of the sweetest messages as well? How can I tell her she’s great and I could never forget her and our experiences?

Well I, hope she will still be able to surf the web somehow and find this sometime. And as far as i know her, I will think she would approve of publishing this. I know her ego is big enough for that fortunately
